CAIR-Chicago On Capitol Hill
This March 10-11, 2008, CAIR-Chicago completed capitol hill visits to congressional and senatorial staff to discuss about citizenship delays, racial profiling and hunger in America. CAIR-Chicago spoke with senatorial staff from Senator Obama, Congressman Roskam, and Senator Durbin's office and also had the opportunity to speak with Congressman Davis.
CAIR-Chicago Sensitivity Speaker to Lecture at Loyola - Understanding Islam and Muslim Students
Veronica Zapata will be lecturing on the subject of “Understanding Islam and Muslim Students” as a part of a new course at Loyola University set to begin April 5, 2008. The event is open to the public, and CAIR-Chicago is encouraging the Muslim community to attend with friends, colleagues, and neighbors, as an opportunity to form an enriched understanding of Muslims and Islam.
